Created in 2002, ART + Gallery continues making history in South Florida. The gallery has been the first to present a public installation of monumental sculptures by a modern master in Miami, with 40 large original sculptures by Surrealist master Salvador Dali. In a variety of genres, media and generations, ART + focuses on one guiding principle: “quality,” and sharing art with a unique South Floridian flavor.
For more than 35 years, Virginia Miller has introduced artists with unique personal visions and techniques to the South Florida art community. These have included numerous mid-career artists as well as a number of historically significant modern masters. The common denominator has been the "spirit" or artistic integrity of the work, a highly accomplished technique, and outstanding value. Miller strongly believes that a dealer in contemporary art has a great responsibility to help people learn how to look at art, to feel what it’s about, and not to be intimidated by new art forms. Miller exhibits at such shows as Art Miami, Art Palm Beach, and Arte Americas.

The Bernice Steinbaum Gallery boasts representing three Macarthur “Genius” award winners; Amalia Mesa-Bains, Pepon Osorio, and Deborah Willis, five Guggenheim fellows, multiple National Endowment Winners, two Annenberg fellows, among other awards. In addition, the gallery regularly organizes group shows which travel to various museum facilities, an unusual activity for a gallery which occurs primarily because of the director’s own academic art history background. The gallery shows work that deals primarily with the narrative.
