Singles Travel International Returns for a Fourth Annual Halloween Party in Las Vegas, October 28 - 31

Luck is yours as you experience the excitement of a three-day Halloween party for adults at the epicenter of the entertainment capital of America—The Mirage in Las Vegas. It’s Singles Travel International’s Fourth Annual Halloween Party from October 28 - 31. This Halloween party at the AAA-Four Diamond Mirage Resort features amenities seasoned travelers have come to expect from Singles Travel International. Rates for this Fourth Annual Halloween Party in Las Vegas start at $569 plus airfare (rates are per person based on double occupancy).

Travel and Leisure Magazine noted in April 2004, Singles Travel International is, “The choice for singles traveling worldwide.” Tammy Weiler, President of Singles Travel International, related, “Our high quality tours have always attracted fun-loving individuals who love to travel.”

It all begins with the lush foliage, towering waterfalls, and sparkling lagoons—a glimpse into the exotic elegance of paradise that is The Mirage. From the exquisitely detailed luxury of your room, to choice of international cuisine in its restaurants, The Mirage is a South Seas oasis offering the serenity of the tropics with Las Vegas excitement. A welcome cocktail party invites you to get away from it all and experience the wild fun, entertainment and unexpected delights that await you. Bring a costume and win big! There are so many parties on and off the strip during this Halloween holiday; it will be hard to decide which to attend! A Pool Party with lunch, drinks and reserved lounge chairs gives you a moment to catch your breath.
Then it’s your choice. Will you see Elton John at the Coliseum? Take in a stunning view of the strip from atop the Eiffel Tower in “Paris”? Or will you board a gondola and cruise the canals in “Venice”? Of course, at The Mirage, there are also the gaming activities of craps, blackjack, baccarat, video poker, a wide variety of slots and a separate poker room and Race and Sports book if you feel luck is on your side. Whatever you choose, you’ll be left with great memories that will make you want to come back next year for the best adult Halloween party you’ll ever experience!

Take Part in the Caribbean
AIDS Awareness Festival

Some may appreciate that every country, regardless of race, creed or color, has an AIDS epidemic. Some may also appreciate that there are numerous Island Nations in the Caribbean with an emergent AIDS population, namely, the Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad and The Dominican Republic. In the past few years, the AIDS epidemic has worsened in this region, and these particular Island Nations have joined together to educate their region and stop the spread of HIV, AIDS and STDs.

Through research, West Indian Entertainment Ltd., the organizers of the Caribbean AIDS Awareness Festival, discovered that the majority of new infections of the disease are amongst persons between the ages of 16 and 30. In addition to learning this, they have also noticed that the most effective way of getting through to persons in this age group is through the music/entertainment industry.

Bearing in mind that persons in this age group are highly influenced by the music and entertainment industry, West Indian Entertainment Ltd decided to launch a Caribbean AIDS Awareness Concert/Festival that involves international and Caribbean artists speaking to the Caribbean public on HIV and AIDS Awareness, while performing at an “All Night” Concert. This regional AIDS campaign has been inspired by ‘46664 The Concert,’ which was held under the Patronage of Nelson Mandela, November 29th 2003 in Greenpoint Stadium, South Africa:
“It is our intention that this Caribbean AIDS Awareness Festival will become the biggest medium for educating the Caribbean’s young adults on HIV and AIDS. In addition, the festival will tour the Caribbean every summer, launching from Trinidad first and then moving on to the following Islands: St. Lucia, Barbados, Cuba, Haiti, Turks & Caicos, The Dominican Republic and Jamaica; and ending the summer with its grand finale in Nassau, Bahamas.”
The Countries participating in November’s upcoming Festival are: St. Lucia, The Bahamas, Trinidad, Jamaica, Barbados, The Turks & Caicos Islands, Cuba, Haiti and The Dominican Republic. They expect to draw at least 10,000 persons from the region and South Florida to the festival in Nassau, but intend to educate at least 200,000others via various television rebroadcasts, radio broadcasts and the Internet. They will also be hosting two separate two-day ‘AIDS Seminars’ in one of the hotels in Nassau. One of the workshops will be directed at high school and college students and the other will be open to parents, the general public and AIDS Awareness Advocates.

The proceeds from the Festival scheduled for Nassau on Friday, November 12th will be shared between the Bahamas’ AIDS Camp run by Father Nottage and the various Caribbean AIDS Foundations and awareness organizations.
The Festival will be covered by 7 TV companies from around the Caribbean, 2 Entertainment News groups out of Canada, The BBC Network out of England will broadcast the Festival live via their worldwide services and there will also be 2 TV companies from the South Florida area.

The Festival promises to be like no other—a full 12-hour Caribbean event, with music from all the islands, as well as a sample of each island’s Carnival. So far, Canada as also joined in and signed four of their leading artists. England has signed three of their biggest names, and the U.S. has signed one artist as of today.

The event organizers will also be providing all-inclusive packages from several airport destinations in South Florida.
